The American Red Cross has announced the membership of Magen David Adom into the International Red Cross and Red Crescent movement. The American Red Cross has been attempting to get MDA recognized since Israel gained Statehood in 1948. The announcement comes after a recent Diplomatic Conference adopted the Third Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions. |

No one was hurt during an afternoon fire Monday that completely destroyed a condominium in a senior citizens community in Arnold. An American Red Cross Disaster Action Team from the Jefferson County Service Center responded to the fire and is supporting the recovery effort of those displaced by the blaze. |
